Thrive Girls Ranch & Home understands that you want to find help for your struggling teen girl who may be suffering with Conduct Disorder. We provide therapy for girls like her at our affordable, specialized boarding school, set in a safe, positive and structured environment near Austin, Texas.
What is Conduct Disorder?
We can help your daughter if she’s struggling with Conduct Disorder, a condition of recurring and relentless violations of social norms and of others’ rights. Does she display physical or verbal antagonism, bullying towards people and animals, damaging actions, dishonesty, absenteeism, and destruction of property or thievery? The term refers to the distinction between a girl’s “typical” acting out and major misbehavior.
Finding Help for Your Teen Girl
If your girl doesn’t receive treatment for Conduct Disorder, she might find herself facing issues of juvenile delinquency that might involve school or even legal authorities. She might be blamed for behavior that she cannot control.
Treatment focuses primarily on altering the behavior patterns that bolster bad behavior. Conduct Disorder is thought to be a possible precursor to Antisocial Personality Disorder. Studies have indicated a preliminary link between different brain functions and lowered levels of compassion shown by those experiencing conduct disorders.
How Your Teen Girl Can Change and Thrive
Thrive Girls Ranch & Home offers life transformation to girls who struggle with life-controlling and self-destructive behaviors or attitudes like Conduct Disorder.
We provide therapeutic counseling to each individual girl, plus daily learning experiences and activities that nurture a true change of heart–and help her thrive in life. We desire to see every girl discover her God-given potential, and live out our core values of integrity, compassion, community, vision, stewardship, servanthood, and faith in Jesus Christ.
Here, teen girls receive fully accredited middle and high school curriculum through Alpha Omega Academy. We also offer extensive academic recovery options, and help her prepare to transition into a normal, healthy lifestyle in college, ministry or the workforce. And because we highly value family restoration, parents can visit their girl once a month, and receive good insight on improving family relationships.
